Will the memory box fit the container returned by the crematorium? Yes. Our boxes are designed to hold the standard ashes containers used by crematoria across Australia, including both tube and brick formats. The interior compartment measures 318mm (w) x 148mm (d) x 140mm (h).
Do I need to transfer the ashes? No. The container from the crematorium sits directly in the velvet-lined base and is secured with finger screws. You don't need to handle or transfer the ashes.
Can I access the ashes if I choose to scatter them later? Yes. The finger screws allow the container to be easily removed whenever you wish.
What can I store in the tray? The tray above the ashes compartment is designed for photographs, letters, jewellery and other personal keepsakes.
Is the box lockable? Yes. Each box is supplied with a key, so the contents can remain private if you wish.
How do I care for the box? Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For lacquer finishes, a gentle microfibre cloth works well. Avoid water and harsh chemicals.
What happens to the box after ashes are scattered? The box can continue to hold photographs, letters and other keepsakes, providing a dedicated place for personal items and memories.
How quickly will my order be dispatched? Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days. Delivery is free anywhere in Australia.
Can I return the box if I change my mind? Yes. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the box is unused and in its original packaging. Please contact us to arrange a return.
Can I add an engraved nameplate? We don't offer engraving directly, but the smooth finish of the box can accommodate an adhesive plaque or custom nameplate if you wish to personalise it.
